Got a friend who created a DDB character. He wanted to play a Totem Warrior barbarian. He does not own the PHB.
I own the PHB. As DM I edited his character's class to be Totem Warrior. (No Master Tier sub but I can still edit a subclass to ones I own.)
We noticed an issue that Beast Sense was not showing up in his ritual spell lists from the Spirit Seeker feature. As far as I've seen, the other Totem Warrior things are working. Speak with Animals works and shows. His bear totem shows.
First attempt at solving that was to have his character enter a content-sharing campaign and choose Path of the Totem Warrior that way. Seemed to work fine. Beast Sense was showing up. But then it stopped showing up after he left the content sharing campaign and came back to ours.
Second attempt was for me to homebrew a feat to specifically give him Beast Sense as a ritual spell. (Copied the Druid Initiate and then modified it to just give Beast Sense.) Still had issues.
Third attempt was for me to create a homebrew copy of Beast Sense and have the custom feat give access to that spell instead of Beast Sense directly. Seemed to work fine. If I delete the feat from his character and add it again it seems to work fine. But then on a reload of the page it disappears.
Trying to figure out what's going on.
Here's an image of right after I add the feat and looking at both his feats and spells.
And here's after reloading the page.
Edit, and here's the way I did the spell mapping in the hotfix feat. IIRC I copied a druid Ritual Caster and stripped the spells down to just my homebrew copy of Beast Sense.
