I've added both public and private sidekicks and cannot see them to add them to my character in my campaign. I do have the master tier sub. The only way I see them are as encounters. They do have the appropriate sidekick tag.
Actually I found the issue. For some reason Homebrew was turned off on this character in character settings. Turn that on and it's all good.
