So I'd like to add someone else's homebrew subclass to my character. I have the Hero subscription, have "homebrew" checked, and have the desired subclass in my collections. When I go to add my Paladin subclass, it still doesn't give me the option to add it.
What class version is the sub-class made for 2014 or 2024?
Not all 2014 subclasses work for 2024, and 2024 subclasses aren’t designed to work much with the 2014 classes.
So if it’s a 2014 to 2024 class it might have to be remade, or if it’s a 2024 subclass on a 2014 class version, it might not even be available.

" Darkvision doesn’t work in Magical darkness, and if something is magical, Never Trust it acts the same way as a non-magical version of that same thing!”- Discotech Mage over a cup of joe.
No homebrew subclasses work between the different class versions.
From the site's perspective, Wizard and Wizard are two different classes, and a subclass can only belong to a single class, and you can't change it.
So, either you need to be playing the other version of the class (Scroll down in class selection to get the legacy versions), or the class needs to be rebuilt for the other version of the class. (Generally not that big a deal, but can be annoying.)

In short: the icon shown at the top of the subclass is the same one you need to select on the Class page.
