OK, So I was using a homebrew creature as the basis of a new homebrew creature. In order to avoid reinventing the wheel I made a new version of the first creature to use as a template. When I shared the finished second creature it replaced the first as a newer version.
My question is this: Can I separate the two listings so that they are separate monsters with their own individual listings?
Addendum: I also have a couple of items that are advancing with the player characters kind of like the Vestiges of the Divergence from critical role. Is there a similar way to do the same sort of things for Items?

D&D Beyond FoundersCreating a new version does exactly that, as you discovered.
To create a new monster, based on the existing ones - go to create a new monster and select your existing monster as a template.
