Cannot download books on iOS mobile app.

For the past week any time I try to download a book (rules or adventures) to the iOS app on my Iphone X it force closes the app. I have tried restarting my phone as well as the app. Do I need to remove the app and reinstall it?

EDIT: reinstalled app and it now is downloading.
