If this is the case, you will have received a free nickname change credit.
With that, you can change your nickname to whatever you desire and all of your posts, comments, etc. will be maintained.
Also, go to your /account/marketplace page. If there is a big red button that says "restore purchases", click that and it will restore your previous purchases.
