I was making a homebrew magic arrow today and noticed that if you choose "weapon" as the base type (and magic arrows are considered weapons), there is no option in the drop down list for "Arrow" as a base item. You have to choose shortbow or longbow.
I also noticed that there is a base "weapon" item in the list called "Bad News"?! What the heck is that?

"Orcs are savage raiders and pillagers with stooped postures, low foreheads, and piggish faces with prominent lower canines that resemble tusks." MM p245 (original printing) You don't OWN your books on DDB: WotC can change them any time. What do you think will happen when OneD&D comes out?
[Tooltip Not Found] is from the Gunslinger subclass.
With regards arrows, they are ammunition, rather than a weapon as such, but you are correct that the magic item homebrew system doesn't allow for them to be created in a fully usable manner.
