Tonight I was finishing up a new homebrew subclass for paladin. Since I wasn't sure how to create those charts where you get your oath spells, I used oath of devotion as a base, and basically substituted that chart with my own spell list and replaced the other abilities with new ones. However, when I went to publish the subclass, it says that it is too similar to the oath of devotion. I looked through all the nitty-gritty and everything seems fine, and none of my other abilities are similar to OoD's, aside from the general style that all paladin subclasses follow. Am I missing something, or can I just not publish subclasses built from preexisting ones?
