I'm trying to add possible Wild Shape creatures to my druid's character sheet in the Extras section. I can add many of them: Goat, Boar, Elk Wolf. But I want to add some creatures from the campaign we'll be running, Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden. However, none of the creatures I want to add from there show up in the Wild Shape dropdown: Fox, Hare, Mountain Goat.
I tried to make a homebrew version of the Mountain Goat to test. I enabled homebrew creations for the character sheet, but Mountain Goat still doesn't appear in the list.
Is this simply a case of the ID:RotF creatures not having been added to possible Wild Shape lists yet? But even if so, why can I not add my homebrew Mountain Goat? Is there a hidden tag I'm missing on the creature?
EDIT: Guess I just had to wait longer -- the homebrew Mountain Goat finally appeared in the dropdown list. The ID:RotF creatures still do not.
The Mountain Goat needs to have creature type Beast and have a CR below the maximum for a Druid of your current level. I'm not sure what else might be missing; you can post the link to your homebrew for someone to check (DO NOT publish it, mods would be able to view it.)
Just to be sure, do you own Icewind Dale on DDB or have it shared with you via a campaign? If it's shared with you, your character needs to be within the campaign to be able to use the animals from the book. The other animals you mentioned are freely available from the Basic Rules.

The homebrew mountain goat did finally appear (I didn't realize it would take that long for the list to update, even after multiple refreshes of the page). And it's not published publicly--it was to test this.
But you solved the problem! The new character I created isn't in a campaign with a DM who owns Icewind Dale. I pulled up my character in that campaign, and indeed the Icewind Dale beasts do show up. So I now know why the beasts don't show up, and how that's connected. Thank you!
