There's a druid in my game who uses Healing Spirit a lot. I was checking his sheet for something and noticed Healing Spirit was no longer in his list of "Spells Known." I own Xanathar's Guide and I have content sharing enabled; it's working otherwise because I can see other spells from that book on his spell list.
I know some people don't like the spell but I'm fine with it. What gives?
Even worse, I tried making a homebrew version of the spell for him to use in the meantime, and that one's not showing on his list, either
Update: other homebrew spells, items, creatures, etc. have no problem showing up on my players' character sheets. It is JUST this spell. I know there is a controversy with this spell but jeeze.
After being asked by the O.P. I am linking my own character sheet here as well. I do not know why Healing Spirit is missing but other content is still available.
Whether there is a "controversy" or not about this spell, it has no bearing on its availability as official spell.
It seems that that character does not have access to Xanathar's Guide to Everything. Primal Savagery is also missing as well as the subclasses. You would need to check if anyone in the campaign owns the book.
As I mentioned, I own Xanathar's Guide and the campaign is mine. I had content sharing enabled, but it seems it got turned off. Not sure how, but I reactivated it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks for responding! I can link it:

Does that work or do you need him to do it?
Update: my copycat/placeholder homebrew spell (entitled "Friendly Badger Spirit") now shows up on his sheet. Still no luck on Healing Spirit.
