I do not know if this is a bug or if anyone else cares but I personally would like to change an ability score on a character sheet bellow 3 and am unable to. If I try it reverts back to 3.
I am coming across the same problem! I wanted to make a cursed magic crown that gives the effects of the feeble mind spell but the magic item set int and char to 1 doesn’t work and I noticed like you said the floor is 3 so I can’t even force the effects in place.

D&D Beyond Founders3 is the minimum for a player character and honestly any ability below 6 is pretty crippling for a character.
