A friend of mine was the DM of a campaign with a few of our friends. Over the course of the campaign, I gave him money to a buy a source book, specifically Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and two of my friends and I chipped in 10$ each for the player's handbook. Now however, we have stopped playing the campaign and the DM plans to unsubscribe to the Master tier subscription. Which brings me to my question, is there a way for the book I bought and the player's handbook to be transferred over to my account so that I won't need to buy it again? I believe that my friends and the DM are okay with transferring the books if possible.
Isuggest that both you and the person who currently owns the content submit a support ticket containing as much detail as possible (referencing each others account names). As said though, the answer may have to be no.
As said above, the D&D Beyond content sharing model means that ANY member of the group can own content and only a single member needs to activate sharing for all the content to be shared.

Thank you!
IDK if a mod or support can help you but...
You know content sharing would have shared the books from your account right?
I don't know if it's possible.
