Hi new dnd beyond user here. I can't seem to figure out how to find the artificer in the character creator. I know its newish so idk if it's in there yet.
This is no longer the case. The Artificer now only shows up when you enable "Magic the Gathering Content" although its archetype options only show up if you enable both "Playtest Content" and "Magic the Gathering Content".

I just checked on a test account and I can confirm that the conversation from May 9th is still correct.
To access the Artificer class and subclasses, the only toggle you need set to on is Playtest Content.
The Artificer class has no ties to Magic: The Gathering Content.
Strange. When I tried to access it the other day i could not get the class to show up in the character builder until I selected Magic content. I logged out and back in as well. Closed the browser. Everything. LOL

I just tried to make on and could not see the class in the selection options even with all types of content enabled.
The Artificer has been officially released in the Eberron: Rising from the Last War book. It is no longer possible to create a character using the test (UA) version. You need to buy the book (or one of the subclasses minimum as a partial purchase) to get access to the class in the Character Builder.
As the Artificer is now an officially published subclass, this thread's content is out of date! As such, I will now be locking this thread.
If you would like to make a new Artificer character, you can look into purchasing Eberron: Rising From the Last War, or individually purchasing one of the Artificer subclasses, which will unlock the base class for you.

You have to enable playtest content on the first page for it to show up later on in the creator.

Maybe they fixed it.
That's so weird. I can definitely confirm on my phone. I'll have to try with my computer later.
Artificer shows when you enable playtest material, but only on mobile. It does not show on desktop. I would guess its a bug
Artificer is still there and still available by selecting Playtest Material.
Can you please provide a link to a character that was unable to select Artificer as their class?
