I’m making a homebrew subclass that uses a lot of a Bards spells. Is there anyway of doing this because when I sat the command “Can cast spells?” to yes, I select the spell list to bard, nothing happens.
Do you have to have a class that can Spellcast to have subclass that can Spellcast? I think I may be doing something wrong because the Homebrew Tutorials state that this does work for classes that don’t use spells like rouges. I’m probably missing something incredibly obvious and being an idiot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Xx
The subclass needs to have a feature called Spellcasting

The arcane trickster is an existing spellcasting rogue (there is also eldritch knight for fighter). So it certainly can.
Stormknight already pointed out what you are missing.
