Just for clarification, here’s what’s happening.

1. I’m one of 7 players in a campaign. The DM is not sharing any content, nor is any other player.

2. I turn on content sharing, but I can’t toggle anything on or off - it shares everything, so I have to turn it off since some of these players will be playing in one of the campaigns I own down the road and I don’t want them to accidentally read that content. I have a Master Tier subscription.

I’m just trying to figure out how this is supposed to work. The toggles seem situational, but I don’t really understand how or why. It seems to me that if every player has a Master Tier subscription, they should be able to share only part of their libraries if they choose. I suppose the DM should have final say in any campaign as to what is shared between players and what is not as well as being able to choose which content she/he chooses to share.

Am I understanding this correctly? I don’t see anything in the FAQ that spells this out. Thanks again!

Right now, after you enable content sharing as a whole (so that content owned by anyone in the campaign is shared with everyone else in the campaign), only the DM can further enable or disable sharing of compendium content from specific books with people that don't own it - which, I believe, includes the DM as well (so they won't be able to access the compendium content either if they disable it, I think).

So basically, say you own books X, Y, and Z (and nobody else in the campaign does), and you enable content sharing in the campaign as a player that has a Master Tier subscription. If you want to share just book X and not book Y, you can't currently do that as a player in the campaign, even if it's your Master Tier subscription; you can only share all your owned content or none at all. Then, the DM should be able to enable or disable sharing of compendium content with non-owners for book X, book Y, and book Z separately.

So right now, if you want to share book X but not book Y or Z, your best bet is to ask your DM to disable sharing of those books for you.

You're not doing anything wrong. Right now, the DM toggles I mentioned above only apply to sharing of compendium content; it doesn't affect what's shared/displayed in the character builder. I believe DDB has said they're planning on implementing more refined content sharing management options in the future, which likely covers the ability to enable/disable what's shown in the character builder.
