One of my allies has somehow had the opportunity to pick the same fighting style twice of Dueling.
I’m not certain how he has done this as it isn’t possible per the rules, but I believe it to be a bug. Can anyone else confirm if this is a Known issue?

The rules clearly state this isn't allowed.
There are numerous cases where D&D Beyond allows you, as a player/DM, to do things that don't adhere to the written rules though.
It's a fine line between allowing flexibility and enforcing the rules.
In this case, it's possible to select the same fighting style from different classes when multiclassing.
I don't believe that this was intended as something you can do, either by the game designers (the rules say you can't) or by the D&D Beyond dev team.
