I am running a sorlock in a campaign. I took 3 levels of sorcerer. Then 1 of warlock. Then 1 of sorcerer. My warlock level is not working right with spells. I am supposed to have 2 cantrips and 2 1st level spells at level l per the table and pact magic rules:
"Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher
At 1st level, you know two 1st-level spells of your choice from the warlock spell list. The Spells Known column of the Warlock table shows when you learn more warlock spells of your choice of 1st level and higher."
I can choose 2 cantrips but can only choose 1 level one spell. I tried Google and can't find anyone else that has had this problem. I talked to my sons who are mini-experts on D&D Beyond. They suggested closing out the tab to see if it reset (they know I tend to leave these open). I did try, but it did not fix the issue. They then suggested that I make a test character to see what it looks like, if the error persists. I did this and there is clearly an error. Under spells, even with no cantrips and no spells chosen AT ALL, it says that 1 spell is known.
Link to the character I first noticed the missing spell:
Sorry, how do I do that? (It's private, and I'm still learning how everything works.) But now that you say that, I think you might be right. I will play around w/that today and post again if it works, no later than midnight tonight.
If it is your homebrew just copy and paste the URL, if it is someone in your campaign, get it from them. You don't have to publish it for a mod to look at it.
When I removed the homebrew subclass, and selected "The Fiend" I was then able to correctly select 2 known 1st level spells.
Your problem is definitely caused by the homebrew subclass. If you'd like help with that, you do not need to publish it, just provide the url here of the subclass (only moderators and staff will be able to view the subclass).
Thank you so all very much! It was with the homebrew subclass. I was able to fix the problem by removing the homebrew spell and adding the same effect back as a class feature action (spell type). I originally had it as a class feature spell and that seemed to be the problem.

Thanks so much for your help!!!
It might be the homebrew warlock subclass you are using. Link it too.

I had a look at your test character.
