Did you choose one that had a class in the title? Like Magic Initiate: Wizard?
There are versions of the feat with classes in the feat name and Magic Initiate feat on its own, but the latter doesn't do anything because at the time the system could not filter the spell options and ability by choice. So, it was split into class-named versions.
Also, if you add this as a bonus through the sheet directly, when you do choose it you need to expand it and select the spells.

I took a look at your character sheet, and it looks like you have access to a homebrew version of the Magic Initiate Feat being shared with you that doesn't have any of these options set up. As Cyb3rM1nd pointed out, the Magic Initiate feats will show up as Magic Initiate (Wizard), Magic Initiate (Cleric), etc.
Could someone look at my character? Completely vanilla.
The issue is when looking at "manage feats", all it says for the Magic Initiate feat is "there has to be something here"
I also had some trouble getting the feat to show up as an option, but it did eventually.

Interesting, I had no idea. Thank you!
