Hi everyone, I recently purchased Curse of Strahd to run for my party. I'm a fairly new DM to this system but this adventure has amazing reviews and sounds basically iconic. Anyhow, I paid full price on the marketplace (I didn't just purchase the compendium content) thinking that should unlock any and all Monster Stat blocks, Magic items digitally that are mentioned in the publication. I however, am missing at least one Stat Block and one Magic Item, it says they're essentially locked out as I don't have their corresponding books.
Again, I 100% made the full purchase not just the compendium content so I'm not sure if this is a bug or what?
Edit: I appear to be missing any monsters stat blocks that are from the Monster Manual and any treasures that are missing from the Dungeon Master's Guide (I have physical copies of these).
As you mentioned in your edit anything contained within other sourcebooks will not be unlocked, however, you do not need to purchase those entire books if you don't wish to. You can simply purchase the monsters and magic items you want out of those.

Lightning Strike - A rebranded Fire Bolt for Wizards & Sorcerers.
Spirit Bomb - A holy fireball for Clerics, Paladins, & Divine Soul Sorcerers!
Sword Dancer - A Cleric subclass specifically for the Drow goddess Eilistraee.
I believe I misinterpreted the nature of the purchase slightly? I assumed that if a monster was included in a text (in the case one of the stat blocks in a Creeping Claw for Curse of Strahd) then I'd have access to the digital tools (stat block and such) for the encounter builder and things? I think it's a Monster Manual thing originally, just seems weird it was mentioned in the digital copy of Strahd I bought but I didn't get access to it.
It was the same with several treasures from the DM's Guide: Instrument of the Bards, Daern's Instant Fortress, Alchemy Jug and the like.
I respect this is probably my mess up, I wasn't expecting to get a free copy of the DM's Guide or the Monster Manual obviously, I just thought the specific items and monsters would be unlocked for me as they're directly written into the Curse of Strahd book. I honestly thought that was the distinction between purchasing the full book and just the compendium content. I'm sure there are ways to work around it, individual purchases have already been mentioned or just making my own 'homebrew' versions of the content.
Yeah, no. What you unlock is anything with its stats included in the book. Notably, most adventures (all but the "starter" ones) assume you have the PHB, DMG, and MM and will not reprint stats from those books.

Hey there -
Can you clarify which statblocks and items appear to be missing?
