I can't seem to add public items to my characters. I can add items I made myself but I add things to my collection but I can't add them to character inventory? Please help. Am I doing something wrong? I have a "Hero" subscription
No, it only seems to work when your character is part of a campaign.
This is not by design - if you have a Hero subscription, you should be able to use any published homebrew that you have added to your collection.
