I have a strength modifier of +2 and am proficient in martial weapons.
I've created 2 attacks, one using a 1d10 as a two-handed attack and one using a 1d8 as a one-handed attack.
As far as I can tell, my attack roll should get +4 (+2 from strength, +2 from proficient). My damage roll should only get +2 (strength modifier). However, instead, no matter how many times I try to edit and change it, the damage bonus keeps showing 1d10 + 4 (shouldn't it be +2?) for damage and 1d8 + 3.
When I go in to edit both skills, the "additional bonus" box has been filled in to be +2 for the 1d10 and +1 for the 1d8.
No matter how many times I edit this and change it, when I refresh the page they are back.
Am I missing something? Is there an extra +2 damage being added to my 1d10 and an extra +1 to my 1d8 for when I one hand the longsword? I am a human paladin if that helps.
what's happened is you've created custom attacks and added damage to them.
Overhead swipe you have set as STR with damage 1d10+2, so it's adding your strength bonus of +2 to that to gain 1d10+4
Lunging Joust you have set as STR with damage of 1d8+1, so it's adding strength bonus of +2 to that to gain 1d8+3.
You're much better off just equipping weapons and the character sheet will calculate them correctly for you.
If you wish to use homebrew attacks though, just remove the values you've entered in the "additional bonus" box for the customise section of each of those special attacks.

Why is my Damage Bonus +5 instead of +3?
