I don't know if I'm missing something, but I've found at least two instances where doing a search does not find something in one of the source books that is a match.
I just did a search for "Calligrapher’s Supplies" and got back three results:
Calligrapher's Supplies / Equipment
Artisan's Tools / Compendium - SOURCES->BASIC RULES (showing the text that matched)
Tools / - SOURCES->PLAYER'S HANDBOOK (showing the text that matched)
However, I was expecting to find the Calligrapher's Supplies section in Xanathar's Guide to Everything because I had learned there was some expanded information there about proficiencies in that tool. I had to go to Xanathar's Guide to Everything directly, go to Chapter 2 and then do a regular browser page search to find it.
I had found the same thing not too long ago searching for "Elturel". I get matches in Hoard of the Dragon Queen and Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Evernus, as well as matches in the text for a few monsters entries (for NPCs in adventures).
However, what I did not find, and what I was looking for, were the references to "Elturel" in Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide. I just did it now to confirm it still happens. Again, like above, I have to go to the book directly, guess which chapter has the references (Chapter 2 in this case, as well) and then do a browser page search to find 21 references to Elturel.
Why is this happening? One of the main appeals to me for D&D Beyond is the fact that all my resources are searchable. I don't have to remember what is in what book. I just search and find it. But when I see this I realize this feature isn't working correctly, or am I missing something. Because as it is, if I don't know (or remember) that something I'm looking for is in a particular book, I won't be able to find it using D&D Beyond's search feature.
