so... im the story type, sorry for that. not sure this quite fits here but this and feedback were the only one i said maybe to so i went with my gut and put it here. my dm gave us a pdf of the "equipment, a dnd 5th edition supplement" by colin voiter. she asked us to use this to decide our equipment. i did so and then created my dnd beyond character. while adding the equipment i chose i couldnt find a piece of equipment i had found in the equipment supplement; double sword. stats as follows according to the supplement double sword/ off hand 2gp 5sp 1d8 slashing / 1d8 slashing 8lbs. double weapon, finesse, special /double weapon, finesse, special
also while im here would i roll a d20 for each sword to see if one both or none hit? then roll the appropriate amount of d8.
The problem with that is you can only create macical items. There's no normal item section and creating a magic item without magic is against the rules.
Although I did find a little bit of a walk around for now and made a custom action based on the stats in the suppliment.
You can do what you want with homebrew magic items, whether they're magic or not, we just ask that you don't publish them for the community if they're not actually magic items.

Ah I see. That's nice to know. I don't think I would be publishing much ever anyway. Thanks.
