In short, no .... the character is owned by the account.
Only the owner of that account can transfer ownership of it (unclaim it), copy it etc.
The D&D Beyond account is authenticated via a 3rd party authentication system (Google, Twitch, Apple). Your player should be able to request a password reset from whichever of those services they use for authentication.
I have a player in my campaign who has forgotten the password for his account, and can't access his character.
He had another free account from a previous campaign of mine - is there any way to reassign ownership of a character, or clone it?
