When I try to add a racial trait to a homebrew race, it doesn't work. The very first page that opens when you hit "add racial traits" does open, but after I enter information and hit save it won't save. The same page just reopens with no information filled out, as if I've refreshed the page. I am very certain that I'm not refreshing the page, I've tried turning off adblocker and all of my extensions on the browser (google chrome), I've tried logging out and logging back in, I've tried using a different browser but nothing fixes it.

It has been my experience that happens when I forget to fill in one of the mandatory fields in the form, one of the fields with the red asterisks. If you miss one of those and hit save that’s what happens. The four mandatory fields to create a trait are Name, Snippet, Description, and then you must make a selection from the Feature Type dropdown. Unless you are trying to create any optional features like the ones in Tasha’s Cauldron, the feature type you probably want is “Granted.” As long as those four are filled in when you hit save, you will be able to fill in the rest of the racial trait.

Hello if may ask a question related to this topic, how exactly do I add racial traits cause I know that racial traits affect your character like giving them +1 to int as an example. I dont know how to add that effect. Could you help?

I'm losing my fing mind over this. I fill everything in and make all the necessary choices and it still doesn't work! Just reloads the page, every time. Why?

That’s usually ‘cause one thing gets missed. Did you designate it as a “granted” feature?

Yes. I did all of the above. Is it because it doesn't want me to be able to create more than 10 racial traits?

Nope. I just made one with 13 traits to test it. You need to have:

• Name 
• Snippet (You don’t actually need this one.)
• Description (Use any five word sentence.)
• Feature Type (You can pick any of the three options, but you won’t be able to change it. Granted is the normal regular kind.)
• [SAVE]

I'm having an issue with this too, whenever I press on the + symbol to drop down the options to add racial traits nothing appears at all

You’re sure you do fill out a minimum of these:

What feature type are you selecting?

Are you running any ad/popup blockers, browser extensions, or a VPN? Those might be interfering with DDB.

 Same problem everything is fine other than no options for racial traits. I can open the tab but there is no selection.

So, you hit the [ADD A RACIAL TRAIT] button and nothing happens? Are you perchance running any add/popup blockers, browser extensions, or a VPN that may be interfering with DDB?

No. But I am on Mobile, vs PC, and I think that may be part of the problem. I wish that the dev team would work out the bugs on mobile, because this is not the first one that I've run into.

Try turning your phone sideways and maybe zooming your browser out to 75%. 

The string of curses I just let out after this worked. You are a straight up godsend. Thank you so much.
