Not sure if this is a D&D Beyond missing feature or if I'm just wrong about the rules.
PHB pg 126:
"If a character would gain the same proficiency from two different sources, he or she can choose a different proficiency of the same kind (skill or tool) instead."
This is implemented in some places, but not others. Does it only apply at 1st Level? Or only to Backgrounds? Or should it be implemented other places in D&D Beyond that aren't currently covered?
Specifics: I'm making a multiclass Rogue / Artificer. When he got his first Artificer level, I thought he would gain another tool proficiency of his choice because he was getting Thieves' Tools proficiency from multiple sources. But the character builder isn't letting me select a new tool proficiency, it's just leaving me with the one.
Not sure if this problem is specific to Artificer as a "new" class.
