Hi, I chose a greatclub as kensei weapon for my monk. It counts as a monk weapon and should therefore pick the highest modifier from strength and dexterity for attacks, but it chooses strength by default. Can this be fixed?
Thanks for the link. I see what you mean, but I don’t know why it is happening. I just set up a test character and see the same thing. For the moment, you can tap on the weapon on you sheet, then tap on customize, and make the changes needed to the to hit and damage bonuses.
This is a known issue that the team is working to resolve. In the mean time you can follow ArwensDaughter's suggestion and customize it to reflect properly.
Edit: Well Hell. My apologies. I made a test character and replicated the issue following all the advice I laid down. So yeah customization will be your only option until that bug gets squashed.
Just as a note. To use a greatclub with dex for a Kensei you have to choose it as your kensei weapon. Right now you have longsword and longbow as your chosen weapons. Base monk ability does not apply to simple weapons with the two handed or heavy properties.
Martial Arts
At 1st level, your practice of martial arts gives you mastery of combat styles that use unarmed strikes and monk weapons, which are shortswords and any simple melee weapons that don’t have the two-handed or heavy property.
Kensei Weapons. Choose two types of weapons to be your kensei weapons: one melee weapon and one ranged weapon. Each of these weapons can be any simple or martial weapon that lacks the heavy and special properties. The longbow is also a valid choice. You gain proficiency with these weapons if you don’t already have it. Weapons of the chosen types are monk weapons for you. Many of this tradition’s features work only with your kensei weapons. When you reach 6th, 11th, and 17th level in this class, you can choose another type of weapon — either melee or ranged — to be a kensei weapon for you, following the criteria above.
Greatclub
2 sp
1d8 bludgeoning
10 lb.
Two-handed
If you change your Kensei weapon to greatclub you can become the kanabo swinging nightmare of many a monsters last thoughts

Is your character by chance wearing armor? If so, that negates the monk weapon features.
If not, please post a link to your character sheet so we can take a look and figure it out.

Hi, thank you for your reply. My character is not wearing any armor. Above you will find the link to the character.
Kind regards, Thimli
