I wanted to fix a typo in the attunement field of a custom magic item that was in the character's inventory already. It not only doesn't update the item in the character's inventory, but even if I remove it and add it again, it keeps the old description.
It's a cache issue -- it can take up to 20 minutes for the updated homebrew item to register on the character sheet. I think logging out and back in might help, but I'm not sure.
