My character is a 6/1 fighter (Eldritch knight)/wizard multiclass. My character sheet is showing I have 4-1st level slots and 2-2nd level slots when I should only have 3-1st level slots.
The multiclass rules specify to add your Wizard levels and a third of your fighter levels together - for your character that would total 3. Then check that on the table:
I believe i have found a mistake though. Either that, or i have calculated wrong for a while. But my Ranger5/paladin3 is supposed to have a total of 4 caster levels, if I am not mistaken. But it showes up as only a total of 3 caster levels. I believe this is because your program halves and rounds down before adding the two classes' levels together giving ranger - 5/2-->2,5-->2 and Paladin 3/2-->1,5-->1 => 2+1=3. But if you add the levels together first: 5+3=8-->8/2=4. 5/2+3/2 vs 5+3/2. Idk what is correct here, but I've always played with the latter.
My character is showing 4 1st lvl slots and 2 2nd lvl slots. But if i change it to Ranger 4/Paladin 4 it increases to 4 1st lvl slots and 3 2nd lvl slots.

I hope this was understandable.
Ranger 5 contributes 2 levels of multiclass caster.
Paladin 3 contributes 1 level.
That totals 3 levels.
This is how the multiclass rules define it.
