Im sure this has been asked a million different ways to Sunday (and Ive read through a number them to try and figure this out) but I always end up confused or the answers are mixed with other concerns.
My question simply: which Artificer subclass synergizes best with a firearm(gun) weapon focused artificer?
I want to have an artificer that is based all around guns for distance offense but I want to avoid a Gunslinger multiclass as much as possible. (race doesnt matter for this)
If you want to use firearms, as actual equipment, then Battlesmith. If you mostly just want to maximizing "blasting" and are fine with "guns" being a cosmetic interpretation, then Artillerist.
It is pretty much just the battlesmith that really brings something that helps with ANY weapon usage. So if you want to use firearms as "weapon" then that one. As kenclary said Artillerist can be reflavored for guns.
That said, every Artificer can just take the Reloading invocation, put it on a gun and go for it.

Any help advise is much appreciated!
