Magical tinkering is a class feature and Prestidigitation is a spell so they can be used at the same time and combined for greater effect. What useful or fun combos can you think of that uses them both? 
For example you can make a bowl smell really good but make the soup inside taste terrible and trick people into eating it. You can make a glowing coin but turn the light another color like blood red or sickening green. You can clean yourself and make your clothes smell like flowers.
