I'm trying to understand how this works but can't figure out how to do this in DNDBeyond. My first question is if I'm an artificer armorer how do I equip my armor? I cant imagine that something whose sole purpose is making strong armor has an AC of like 12? Secondly how do I add infusions to it? Is it even possible on DNDbeyond? If anyone has any guides or suggestions on how to do this, or if I just have to calculate it on my own any good suggestions for doing that would be greatly appreciated.
I recently made an AA, I just grabbed from adventuring gear: plate armor, boots, signet ring, helm, and shield (all nonmagical). Only the armor, boots, and helm count as part of that arcane armor set. I equipped them all, but the armor is what you need to activate the Arcane Armor class feature as a bonus action. While wearing your armor (in my case plate, but whatever you prefer), you take the bonus action and it activates the effects of Arcane Armor and all of its infusions (all being all the infusions you put onto the other pieces listed above).
To infuse on D&D Beyond, go to your infusions tab under the inventory tab, select one of the infusions you chose in character builder, click the choose button and it will give you a list of items you currently have or items you can add to your inventory, that can meet the requirements for that infusion. Once they're infused and equipped, you just attune them like any other magic item. Unfortunately, while the gauntlets of the armor count as weapons in the class description, there's no option to place a weapon infusion on them which is really annoying. And you can't add gloves from adventuring gear as a weapon in their place
Firstly want to say thank you for helping. I'm wondering how I infuse the gauntlets or weapons used on the armorer. And also is there supposed to be an option in the "bonus action" tab to to activate this armor? And is this integrated with DNDB or do I just have to make note of this on my own?
Reviewed, Arcane Armor is actually classified under the action tab as "Arcane Armor - Create Armor". Like I said there is currently no option to infuse the special weapon of your Arcane Armor, best just to make a note of the weapon infusion you use on it.
No you do it all by hand on paper and you just have to remember you have it and keep your dm in the loop. Its confusing but it really does explain it well in the book.

Just grab any piece of equipment and rename it 'artificer special weapon' and infuse that. Then customize your actual weapon with the infusion bonus.
