In your opinion, what are some fun or flavorful spells for the Maverick subclass from Exploring Eberron?
(For reference, they can get limited uses of artificer, cleric, and wizard spells up to sixth level, as well as up to eighth level with the variant capstone)
I think sunbeam is great, having a giant laser is unparalleled

Any sufficiently widespread magic is indistinguishable from technology.
The second funniest thing to make a D&D party do is explain morality
Yes, but if somebody else casts simulacrum on you, then the simulacrum has the capstone free and can cast simulacrum on you, repeated infinitely. The simulacrums are not casted by you, but by other simulacrums.

I realized that the variant capstone lets you cast simulacrum as an action
With an investment of just one simulacrum, a maverick with the variant capstone could create infinite simulacrums of themselves day by day.

An infinite number of them, but only one at a time. Note the last bit of the spell's description:

Simulacrums cannot cast the Simulacrum spell.

Actually, the capstone says that "you don’t need to meet any requirements to cast the spell"
I would consider not being a simulacrum to be a requirement
Any sufficiently widespread magic is indistinguishable from technology.

My impression is that that is definitely not what that’s intended to mean, but if you can find a DM who’ll allow it, go for it.

Well I wouldn't do it in an actual game, but I'm just considering the possibilities.

New idea: put Summon Lesser Demons into a spell storing item and get all your party members to use it (preferably into a different room)
Any sufficiently widespread magic is indistinguishable from technology.
