I was inspired to remake a build from 5.0 that reminded me of my dad (strength through intelligence). Originally, it was going to be a 3/17 split to just get the Artificer subclass for the ability to use intellect to determine melee attack power, but I soon realized Fighters don’t get anything at level 17, and this could be an opportunity to get two epic boons! However, I am concerned this build does not come on until too late because of how long it has to wait for feats/ASIs. Plus, I’m not sure I picked the best feats. I do like how I got both intellect and constitution to 18 at around the same time. Anyway, let me know what you all think!
Shillelagh will achieve the same thing for you for one Bonus Action a combat and not cost you at 4 levels of a class that isn't doing really too much for you besides that +int to hit/damage. You can get the spell from either Druid Initiate or Lorwyn Elf species.
You can eventually have a 2d6 weapon while using a shield.
