I copied the Alchemist when making my homebrew (it was one of my options). I changed everything I wanted (spells, features, etc.), but when I saved it, it said I couldn't post it because it's too similar to the Alchemist. If anything, it's a rework of Battle Smith, but I didn't buy the Eberron ebook for Beyond.
Is there something I missed, or should I not copy the Alchemist template?
Generally, that warning means that you missed some actions/abilities somewhere in the subclass that are still identical to the original Alchemist. Remember, most abilities/subclass features have special custom actions/data attached to them in the homebrew editor. You'll need to find all of those and either change or delete them before you can publish the subclass.
As an additional "gotcha!" because they did it to me and my Revised Alchemist, you ALSO can't publish any subclass which includes spells not listed in the Basic Rules/SRD; i.e. the "free" content. This makes subclasses that include an Expanded Spell List extremely difficult to publish, since that ESL has to come from the Basic Rules only and the Basic Rules spell selection is godawful bad. So watch for that, as well.
It looks like my subclass is public for now (I didn't get the restriction I got the first time, so I don't know if they make it public, then review it later).
That's not really the important thing. I have the spells "Melf's Minute Meteors" and "Immolation" from the Elemental Evil Player's Companion in my spell list and doesn't seem to be an issue. I double checked, and I didn't see either in the Basic Rules, but the companion is a free resource, so maybe spells in that list are cool?
Here's the subclass if anyone is interested though:

Please do not contact or message me.
Thanks, I'll double check the hombrew and see if I missed something in the data.
I used two spells from the Elemental Evil Player's Companion because that's a free download. So that would be an issue too?
