I want to improve my light crossbow with the artificer infusion repeating shot. The rule text says:
This magic weapon grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it when it's used to make a ranged attack, and it ignores the loading property if it has it.
However, when I improve the weapon in DnD Beyond, a +3 bonus is added. Instead of a +4 attack roll and a +2 damage roll I have a +7 and +5 bonus respectively.
Is there something in the rule I don't understand or is it a mistake in DnD Beyond?
Maybe someone here has a similar problem and can help.
