Here's my Battlesmith, Diego Viola Alleghiri, a Tiefling of Mammon descent (hence the golden horns), and his Steel Defender, the Combat Handy Equipment Sorting Trunk Robot, or C.H.E.S.T.R. for short... or Chester, for even shorter.
The Cyberpunk is strong with Soul. Very wasteland-cyborg. Heh, complete with a competition muzzle break on a 1911. Imagine his timeline is a bit further along than most other artificers. Not bad.
Diego is gorgeous (and looks like he knows it). Heh, and C.H.E.S.T.R. is fantastic. I do smile at absurd backronyms. I'm curious whether your DM lets you actually use him as a storage device? I've seen a few DMs balk at so much as strapping a backpack to one's Defender, which just seems like such a killjoy move.

Well, this was made in preparation for an upcoming game. We stream our games so it's useful to have art done ahead of time... so I don't know yet if my DM will let me store things in Chester. I probably don't want to store too much in him, y'know... in case he gets killed.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
I feel like, rather than Reduce my Own size, I'd just Enlarge Chester. I could probably squeeze a couple characters in there if I bumped him up to Large.
Flickering Mountain "Flick" The Tabaxi Alchemist/Artificer.
Seen here battle ready with a bottle of volatile acid, thus far has spent a lot of time in combat throwing about Firebolt Flasks and spraying Tasha's Caustic Brew from her custom built spray device. Has recently been joined by "Spiderpot", a cauldron shaped homonculus with a dragon mouth that scurries around on brass mechanical spider legs, filled with bubbling acid ready to catch unwary foes by surprise..
The weapon you can see is a Javelin infused with Returning Weapon. The way we're playing it is that instead of actually throwing the whole thing, it essentially fires a "beam" of energy, but mechanically it works exactly like the infusion states. It's basically meant to be a "multi tool", with a screwdriver head and a socket wrench back end. Archie calls it the "Enemy Attitude Readjustment Tool".
Art was done by Francell Garrote: https://www.artstation.com/francell (you can see Archie there as well), who was very kind to follow my rather exacting specifications of what I wanted. Rusty's magnificence is all his work however, my references were terrible and couldn't compare at all with that he ended up producing.
The artist also provided both characters separately on transparent PNGs for use as tokens in VTTs and such.

Holy moley! the artwork in Flick is masterful, from that pipe through to the fare on the Thundermonger. Brilliant!
And wowee, the flavour of Archie and his Rusty. The light glistening on the rooster's breast plate and the general look of that hard ass rock gnome! Nice job.
All these works people keep posting make me wish I never gave up the pencil so I'd still be good at it now in the digital age!

Imagine a large number of artificer players are on board for it. I mean shit, if I could have fully functional prosthetic legs I could switch out for a new set whenever the old ones got worn out? I'd do it with a smile. **** the human knee joint, and the human foot is honestly no better. Sadly it'll be several decades yet before we get any realistic degree of neural feedback from prostheses, and without direct neural feedback prosthetics will never be more than really fancy custom clothing.
...but I suppose the pros and cons of transhumanism are a little off-base for an Artificer art thread. Still, totally down for a tiffle gunner with robot feeties. Thought that mini was very well executed, nice work.

I imagine performance could also be suitable for that.

Meet my Rock Gnome Battlesmith, Gizmodeus Popfizzle ('Gizmo' to friends).
Here we see him riding into battle on his foxy iron defender Bolt, wielding the X-80W Multifunctional Launching Device.
On the floor are Nuts, a flying squirrel homunculus, and a flask which, knowing Gizmo, probably contains some explosive mixture.

That is damned impressive work. The backlighting from what I assume is a Caustic Brew blast is particularly nice. Very excellent.

Oh oh oh! I want to join here!

I love her :)
That's a giant mechanical armored chicken.
I find this acceptable.
Yes. Acceptable indeed.

Rusty takes offense to being called a chicken! He's a Rooster, thank you very much.

Uh yeah, mechanical legs. Friends calling it a Freudian thing after 19 years of chronic knee pain are probably not wrong.
