This is my new build let me know what you think and if it's legal to play it has 3 books if you count BR book it has phb and the one with the Artaficer its a battle smith beastmaster ranger also would you be allowed to have 2 companions this i don't know i think you would if that was part of your class but i don't know. Let me know if you can or can't one way or the other
There's no reason you can't have more than one companion. Each companion has its own rules, and none of them preclude other options. A Battlesmith/Beastmaster multiclass can have up to three companions, if it later obtains the Homunculus Servant infusion. It becomes difficult to effectively command this many creatures, and some DMs may frown on characters with their own personal menagerie so I'd check with your DM, but outside of Adventurer's League I see no reason why this character would be illegal. My own artificer has a Defender, a Homunculus, and a Familiar; the latter irritates my friends to a degree, but the character remains legal.
In Adventurer's League, I don't know their odd, baroque rules well enough to say, but if you're using three books it's not legal. I'm not sure what 'BR book' means in this instance. You may wish to elaborate on what 'legal' means for this specific character.
You're allowed multiple companions, but honestly it's not the greatest idea: being multiclass means that both of them are weakened compared to the challenges you face.
Also, if you're going to multiclass at all and at least one of your classes gives you Extra Attack, you're generall better off getting that as quickly as you can.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
