As the title suggests, a pal of mine is thinking of doing a ancestral guardian barbarin with 2 levels into wildfire druid based on a build video he watched. I never heard of something like this before but I was wondering on how viable it is? So is it alright or should he look into other options?
Alright sounds fair but what would be some ways that he can get the most out of this multiclass. What will be some things he will need to look out for when building his character?
Seems legit. The main synergy is probably teleporting allies as an enhancement to his role as party protector. The ancestral guardian has no special bonus actions outside of the first turn rage so that works out. One tactic is to have the spirit hang out near a vulnerable ally and use your BA to have the spirit ready a teleport incase an enemy gets too close. The druid spells should also add a lot of out of combat utility which shores up one of the weaknesses of the barbarian class. The main thing to look out for, I think, is the general fragility of the spirit which will only have 15 hp.
