Totem Barbarian's What is your Fav Aspect of the Beast at level 6 and why? I have to choose soon. I am leaning toward Elk and doubling our parties travel speed. We are in a wide open continant that we must travel often. We are in a war against fiends and other planner creatures and being able to escape and put distance between us in emergencies may be useful as hell. I also like Eagle and being able to see a mile away as iff 100 feet away could help eliminate surprise attacks. But Bear strength on carrying and saves is also enticing.
I'm currently playing a barbarian for the first time and took Eagle as the totem spirit and eagle for the first aspect at 6th. I play this character in the thick of things and enjoy the disadvantage on opportunity rolls when it pulls off for me.

Why did you choose Eagle at 6th vs the others? I went Bear at 4th since I am the only real tank in the party and absorbing hits was needed.
Elk is probly the most usfule IF your DM actualy uses travel time. If not then there is no real point to it. Our champaine simply dosn't use travel time much. If we did I most likley would have taken it.
The campaign I'm in with this character is in the jungle with some mountains and I thought the extra eyesight at a distance may be helpful. I was also leaning towards elk or tiger but may stick with eagle all the way, the flight speed bursts sounds cool too.
This is my first barbarian and I came in as 1 of 2 people replacing others at 6th level.

Thius is my first 5e barbarian also. I played one back around 1890 in 2e but its definatly a different experiance.
I'm enjoying it so far. My previous 5e characters in main campaigns have been a short lived fighter, warlock and a bard. I've tinkered in some one-shots with another warlock build and an artificer/fighter/warlock and a ranger.

I chose Bear for the roleplay and capacity.

Eagle is very good also.
