My Giant Barb uses a pike so the melee range is 15’. Elemental Cleaver gives that pike a 20/60 throwing range. So only a 5’ range to throw that weapon without disadvantage? Or should the throwing range begin beyond the melee range of the character?

I’m trying to pick a few feats for my Goliath, giant foundling, giant barbarian
since the elemental clever is a thrown weapon, would I be able to use the Sharp Shooter feat?
Unfortunately not, because Elemental Cleaver adds the Throwing property to a melee weapon, it doesn't make it a ranged weapon.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
