So I do not yet know how to quickly search trough threads yet, so i’ll Just post this here:
are there any dm’s who could explain to me the purpose of making a Barbarian multiclasser not be able to cast spells whilst raging? Is it a power balance thing, or just a narrative thing? Also, is there a reason why there is no archetype that you can use your rage bonus on a ranged weapon?
It's extremely a power balance thing. If you go 3 barb bear totem your resistant to everything but psychic damage. You would need to hit him with 44+ damage to just get over the DC10 for concentration checks.

Narrative more than anything, in both cases.
However, the Ancestral Guardians features have some use for a ranged Barbarian off-tank.
I am one with the Force. The Force is with me.
