Right now my Str, Dex and Con are all uneven. Since our campaign will only get to around 11, I think I will take +1 ASI to two of them at lvl 4. Then I will look to take a feat to balance out the other one at lvl 8.
Durable for the +1 Con, or Resilient (Dex) for the +1 Dex plus the added save proficiency. So probably the latter?
If I did not care about getting the extra Dex or Con point with a fear, I would consider Great weapon Master or Savage attacker, preferring the latter.
Savage attacker over GWM? The Reckless attack feature pairs very well with the GWM -5/+10 damage feature. The occasional bonus attack is ideal when you are delivering d12s. I plan on taking GWM at Level 12. After that, I'll probably max my strength then pick from Tough, Sentinel, or Savage attacker.
In hour campaign I am the only meat shield. The others are Drunk Monk (in and out), Assassin Rogue (in and out), a Life or Light Cleric, Sorcerer and an Eldrich Knight who hardly ever gets close to the fight - left me tanking a Frost Giant on my own! So I cannot always go Reckless. Though, under "normal" circumstances, I see how it would be better to take GWM.
I played a variant human bear totem last season in AL. We ended the campaign when I was lvl 8. I took ASI +2 to con at lvl 4 and 8. And took resilient dex for my human feat. I also went sword and board with him. Ended the campaign with AC 21 ( 16 dex, 20 con, and plus 1 shield) and over 100 hp. I some times was wishing for dpr but was super impressed with the amount of damage I could take.
although I do think resilient(dex) is a solid pick I would like to point out that with the lvl 2 barbarian ability, danger sense; you will have advantage on most(in my opinion) dex saving throws. making proficiency a bit of overkill.
perhaps athletics with a Dex pick. that way you can have a little utility/mobility with you +1 to Dex

we just got lvl 4 in our campain and i pick GWM over ASI.
my primar stats are str 17 dex 13 and con 16 so +1 str and +1 dex would also help a lot but especially in the low levels the GWM is so strong.
Barbarian has nothing to do with bonus actions ( just rage at the beginning) so to get bonus attacks after killing and crit is so important.
And of course the opponents have less AC, like Zombies, Ogers, Beasts and anything else. -5 to hit and +10 dmg is huge!
I agree with both posts above.
Gaining advantage to a d20 can be looked at like an average +5 flat bonus to that roll, which is definitely as having Proficiency for Dex saves or a reliable way to compensate for the GWM power attack part.
It is even better because your chance to roll low is significantly reduced, so making saves or hits is more likely that with just having flat bonus.
This also goes for ASI in STR in my opinion, because through rage you can get extra damage output and gain advantage on STR checks, you don't need to max out your strength. This allows you to pick a feature that will complement the role you need to fulfill in the party a lot better.
So the feature I would choose really depends on what type of subclass and the role.
I like Sentinel very much for builds that don't have an alternative way to utilise their reaction. It's a great way to make sure you won't drop early out of rage as you can pin one target next to you. PAM is also really interesting and it combines well with Sentinel. GWM is great for boosting damage.
Kinda depends on how my stats fall, but for the most part, I'd rather have Feats. They're generally more interesting than just a numerical bonus, and with bounded accuracy, the numerical bonuses aren't as needed as they have been historically.

My Totem Barbarian is Level 8. At level 4 I took +1ASI to DEX and CON. At level 8 I took magic initiate for a little flavor and a familiar.
It seems to me that maxing out your strength and taking GWM or PAM is pretty much an auto pick for a barbarian.
So what Feats or ASIs do you guys pick?

It might help to know what your actual stats are.

Two weapon fighting feat. 2 greataxes is a scary barb
You cannot dual wield with a greataxe because it has the two-handed property. But I agree, it would be scary and quite cool!
I've got Sentinel and Shield Master on my tank Barb 16. She already has 22 CON, and a 14 STR. (12 DEX)

Formatting Tooltips, because I always forget
I feel like you are not allowed to have a 22 Con, (at least at level 16)
ASI - "...As normal, you can’t increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.
and Dwarf racial is applied before any ASI and could only be a max of 20 if an 18 was rolled.
primal champion at level 20 allows up to 24 con, but you are level 16
perhaps I missed something but she is a sweet character regardless!
Jesus Saves!... Everyone else takes damage.
They have a Manual of Bodily Health in their inventory so they probably used it. It's +2 Con and +2 Max Con.
