Hey all, I was new to D&D when I made my character and went with a Barbarian as it was easy to play as I learned, but now with a half a campaign under my belt I want to multiclass to play a little differently and try out something new. Any reccomendations of what class to choose where I would be a lvl 5 Barbarian and a lvl 1 something new?
Hmm. Cleric or druid could give you some secondary options (depending on domain, you may get a little synergy). You can't cast spells while raging, but spiritual weapon gets around that.
Fighter or rogue both add to your arsenal without going MAD. You could be a duelist barbarian/rogue with a rapier for sneak attacks and expertise in athletics for grapples. Fighter's action surge could come in handy.
Most important question is: what do you want to accomplish?
What is your current style and what do you like about that? What are things that you dislike?
What is your role in the party?
It's better if you know an answer to those questions before you start to choose which class to pick.
Fighter and Rogue are typically the most natural multiclass targets.
Figther3 Champion is an easy multiclass, which gives you more punch by 19-20 crit range, action surge to help in crucial situations and second wind for a little more durability. Yet the battlemaster brings more options to the table and a new resource to manage. Cavalier has some good tanking features build in.
Rogue is great for Sneak-Damage but it requires a finesse weapon, yet Cunning Action is also a very handy way to go were you need to be on the battlefield.

What are your ability scores and which subclass did you choose?
Str-18, dex-14, con-14, int-8, wis-14, cha-12 and path of berserker.
If you want something with some tactical depth, how about going Fighter, aiming for Battlemaster?
Canto alla vita
alla sua bellezza
ad ogni sua ferita
ogni sua carezza!
I sing to life and to its tragic beauty
To pain and to strife, but all that dances through me
The rise and the fall, I've lived through it all!
