Variant Human, go with the 15/15/15/8/8/8 build, put +1s into strength and dexterity, take perception proficiency, and the aberrant dragonmark feat. Take the minor illusion and disguise self spells. Take the urchin background for proficiency in sleight of hand, thieves' tools, and stealth.
Norman, Captain of Guard, shrugged off his heavy mail. "You!" He pointed at the serving girl who was passing by his door.
"My lord?" The maid's was a little taller than he found attractive, but he had been in the saddle for weeks and he needed a woman.
"Wine, and a hot bath." He eyed her up and down with barely disguised lust. "And afterwards..."
His voice trailed off as the woman approached him, moving deceptively swiftly. He cocked his head slightly, startled, then his world seemed to rotate as an unnaturally strong arm took him by the throat and threw him into the wall. Her appearance seemed to shimmer, confusing him, then the maid raised a short club, a sharp pain, and everything went black.
Crystal Dancer scowled up at the broad shouldered man who left the Captain's quarters. "Martel." The man grinned, teeth flashing white in his dark face.
"Crystal." His natural voice rumbled. He tossed her the leather bag in his hand. "He did have it." The elf opened the bag to reveal a delicate pendant of gold and white gems, shaped like a rose. "See. Subtlety. I told you I could do it." He stiffened slightly and Crystal saw the smallest flicker of pain as he moved his left arm. The enspelled brand on his shoulder would be a constant reminder of the price of power. "Come, let's leave before he wakes up."
Wildhunt doesn't give *you* advantage, it prevents anyone within 30 feet of you from having advantage against you. So you can reckless attack all you want (unless it's a ranged NPC you cannot get to).
I guess would have choose Goliath from the the list but have to ask, where's the option for bugbear?
A path of giants bugbear is just op in confined areas. The reach is just incredible making almost any movements in confined areas a possible attack of opportunity, the size boost multiplier on push/pull for weight can cause insane damage. At higher levels with a pole arm reach is 30 feet, and size can become 2 times larger than starting size. Also the ability to do a surprise attack only increases it, especially if you apply strike of the giants with it.
My dm face palmed when I chose to simply rage while hold a +2 maul in front of me and then charge close lining everything in my path down a 10 foot wide hall. With 30 feet of movement and 15 feet of reach, my charge killed a dozen baddies turning them into paste as they couldn't really dodge and I had strength with push / pull factor to just steamroll and trample through what should have slaughtered my party as 15 vs 2 fight. My companions dragonborn cleric only made it worse by killing the other 3 instantly with a single spell. This turned a multiple round encounter into a single round of actions. We ended session early as the DM had to rethink the encounter as it went from a near suicide mission to easy mode.

Great Poll. I love it.
I just wish that I could have voted for my favorite. I have a Warforged Barbarian that I play every once in a great while.
Warforged storm herald barbarian. When you rage, you start to overheat and you can release hot steam as a bonus action.
Wow!... that is pretty awesome.

Yes. Risk free advantage via reckless while negating it's penalty. I guess I didn't think it was necessary to write every word of the idea.
