So the thing about Spirit Bards is that they can use tarokka cards as their spellcasting focus, as per their 3rd level feature.
But you can go a step further and make a spirit bard with the core concept of using magical cards to battle. You just need to line all the pieces together correctly.
1. Make a spirit bard that uses cards as spellcasting focus
Because Duh.
2. Assign a card to every option of the "Tales from Beyond" feature, preferably accompanied with card art.
This allows you to shout "My turn, I draw" as you expend a bardic inspiration and roll for a random effect from the tales from beyond feature.
3. If possible, acquire an "Instrument of Illusion", and make it a keyboard instrument that you can equip onto your arm. Pretend its a variant of the keyboard harmonica or something.
This essentially substitutes for the yugioh duel disk that you would wear on the arm. You can then proceed to slap the cards onto it and manifest illusions for the card effects.
4. If possible, acquire a "Deck of Illusion" or other card related magic items.
Also because Duh.
5. If your table allows Strixhaven content, take Silvery Barbs
You now get to shout "I activate my trap card" as you reverse the situation on the enemy
6. Eventually take Counterspell when you reach lv10
-------------
You can take one step further and actually weaponise your cards if you want. Although its unfortunately suboptimal, its just the price you would have to pay to sling cards like projectiles as if you were Twisted Fate from LoL.
You can reskin the "Darts" and throw cards instead; although 1d4+dex is poop damage and generally inaccurate.
Or you can somehow acquire the cantrip "Magic Stone". This cantrip allows you to use your bonus action and enchant up to three rocks, turning these rocks into projectiles that deal 1d6+spell mod amount of damage, and uses your spell mod for the attack roll. Reskin the rocks into cards and you're good to go.
The problem with Magic stone is that Bards don't get this cantrip on their own, you need to yoink it from Artificers, Druids, or Warlocks. But there is simply no point in getting Magic Initiate-Warlock and taking Magic Stone, since you could instead take Eldritch Blast, Fire Bolt, or Toll the Dead. (Why did WotC give Magic Stone to Warlocks anyway when they got these three excellent offensive cantrips 🙄)
You could re-skin your eldritch blast to look like shooting out magical cards but that just ain't the same.
I would've expected to have a Yugioh character based around summoning but to each their own lol
Well Bard makes that an easy fix. It's even simpler to work with if you're allowed to use backgrounds like the ones for Strixhaven or Ravnica. The only trouble is working things out in such a way as to summon the things you want (i.e. playing to a specific deck or strategy; I tend to make a lot of theme decks, one of my favorites being the Infernoid archetype. This would mean I'd have to find spells and abilities that are all flavorful representations of the cards I want to use.)

I've never encountered a forum where I got this many "talking to a wall" impressions as this one...
