Instead of eating the bardic inspiration die until level 14, maybe add a die that is -2 than the inspiration die instead. No cost of inspiration!
For example, until lvl 4 the inspiration die is d6, so the die for the Blade Flourish will be d4. At lvl 5 to 9 the inspiration die is d8, so the Blade Flourish die will be d6.
Maybe an infinite number is too powerful. But I agree, it should not consume your BI. So, what about this: Every time you give out a Bardic Inspiration, you can can use a flourish as part of the same bonus action using the same die? You inspire your allies with your fighting prowess!

I wouldn't make it part of the same bonus action, but I like the idea. What about if you hand out Bardic Inspiration, you gain one "free" use of blade flourish? This way you're still only doing one or the other in a turn, but you're not being penalised for helping your teammates rather than boosting yourself.
Not sure if these should be stackable or if there should be one "free" use of blade flourish at a time? It probably wouldn't matter if it has the same count as bardic inspiration so long as it resets at the same time?

So 1 bardic inspiration for allies and 1 for blade flourish with a total cost of 1, I like it and it sounds balanced but I have to save them all for combat.
Would definitely agree on this one! It makes it easier to use a flourish without it seemingly doing very little. This way you could be a support role and deal some damage.

Unlimited uses is definitely too strong; with Defensive Flourish you would effectively have a permanent 1-4 damage and AC bonus.
