Would a wild magic sorcerer/bard college of eloquence be easy to roleplay for a beginner? If I do end up choosing to do it, what backgrounds should I use that would go well with the combo?
For role playing it really depends on what you want your character to be and i guess that is partially determined by the background, but get creative. I’d recommend noble or folk hero are easier ones to play. I think if you want to go with more of a bard style approach with instruments, the entertainer background could fit. I do think generally the eloquence bard tends to be more of a politician style character so I’d recommend the noble background.
Just remember in dnd you can be creative and don’t feel limited by choosing a background.
Oh and sorry if you were looking for backgrounds that give skills. In that case, I’d probably still take noble for the social skills so you can pick up 3 skills of your choice from the bard list, and not waste any on those skills.
