So we are rolling up new lvl 3 characters for the new campaign and I'm playing as a war cleric. Are the hit bonuses for war clerics always this high?

No. There's something wrong there. You should be +5 (3 for str, 2 for proficiency).

Maybe its adding on your guided strike bonus?

Yeah...no way should the bonus be that high. I think you found a bug...
