Hallo All, I am looking for help for my cleric. I'm a high elf and I selected the life domain at the beginnig. Now on level 11 my Dungeon Master gave me a second Domain "Knowledge" So I made a new Homebrew Subclass with both Class Features. Allmost all works fine, only Disciple of live will be calculatet wrong. I miss the Spell level bonus for every healing Spell, I get only the fix +2 bonus.
Here my question: Is there a posybility to add the spell level? It works in the original Life Domain. Thanks
The Disciple of Life feature cannot be fully replicated with homebrew. If you start by duplicating the Life domain to use as your base it might work, but they deliberately left the homebrew modifier for DoL out of public use, saying that they would add it later. They have yet to do so. You can also try homebrewing the spells, but doing so will still only allow you to upgrade only the dice or the bonus, not both. You'll want to add a note to your spells to help you remember, but it won't help if you use an autoroller.
None of this homebrew is publishable since it's recreating WotC's work, it would get taken down for copyright violation. But here's how I have Cure Wounds set up:
Create a new spell from template, using Cure Wounds as the base. Put something in the spell name like (DoL) so you know that you're looking at your homebrew version. Under Basic Information, in 'Available for Class(es)' add your homebrew subclass if you want it to be automatically prepared. Otherwise leave as-is, as 'Cleric' should already be present in that field.
Under 'Modifiers' add Type: "Bonus Hit Points" Dice Roll: 1d8 Fixed Value: 3 Primary Stat: True.
Under 'At Higher Levels' add as follows: Scaling Level Value: 1 Modifier to Scale: Bonus - Hit Points (1d8+3) Scale Effect: Additional Points Dice Count: 1 Die type: 1d8 Fixed Value: 1.
Save everything up and down to make sure it all takes. This coding ought to allow for scaling the number of hit dice and the bonus, but the system doesn't actually implement it. It used to work, but they 'fixed' something in the back-end system and it stopped working. But I leave it like that in case they ever un-fix it.
Setting the Fixed Value to 3 under Modifiers gave us the flat +2 bonus, and the +1 for the level bonus at level one, but not the scale. The best way to deal with that at the moment is to, on the character sheet, once this spell shows up, is to Customize the spell (click on the spell on the Spells tab, and click Customize in the sidebar description) and add something to the Notes field that says '+1 healing per level above 1st.' This should then be a visual reminder to add the additional healing. If you go on to give this subclass the 6th-level Blessed Healer feature, I stick that in as a note here as well, since the DDB character sheet can't handle that feature at all either.
Hallo and thank for the responses. Like I wrote, I copied the original of 'discipline of life' and gave it a new name. Modifier Type = Bonus Modifier Subtype = Spell Group - Healing Fixed Value = 2 Additional Bonus = Spell Level I added the Additional Bonus, that I am missed. Than I selected the new class feature to my new subclass and added all the class features from then knowledge domain in it. At the end I have change the subclass of my Character and selected my new self made Subclass.

Hallo and thank for the responses.
Like I wrote, I copied the original of 'discipline of life' and gave it a new name.
Modifier Type = Bonus
Modifier Subtype = Spell Group - Healing
Fixed Value = 2
Additional Bonus = Spell Level
I added the Additional Bonus, that I am missed.
Than I selected the new class feature to my new subclass and added all the class features from then knowledge domain in it.
At the end I have change the subclass of my Character and selected my new self made Subclass.
All works fine.
